The Faithful Steward

Strong in Mark: passing something on to others
Growing in Release: letting go of what I cannot control

You will hand your grandson the keys to the old truck, as long as you can ride along telling him when to brake. You care for what will outlast you, and you care for it faithfully.

You will recognize this

It comes up in conversations about the will. A grown child mentions changing something, and you hear yourself explain why it was done that way. You visit the old place and notice everything that has been moved. You are not trying to control. You just want it kept right.

The cabin, the business, the family story, the name on the door: you have named what matters, shaped it, and decided who gets it. Legacy is easy to leave to chance. You never have. Your care is why there is something worth carrying at all.

This season

For decades you were the keeper: the house, the business, the traditions, the family's good name. Now the handing over has begun, by choice or by time. The next generation may have its own ideas about the cabin. This season asks the hardest thing a steward can do: trust the people you raised with the things you love.
