The Gifted Wanderer
Strong in Talents: trusting what I have learned and can do
Growing in Story: making sense of the life I have lived

The handles worn smoothest on your workbench already know what you have been building. Your hands and your judgment are seasoned and sure. You know how to do things well.
You will recognize this
Someone asks what you did for a living, and you sigh and give the list. In the garage you are happiest and least able to say why. A grandchild asks what you were best at, and you say, “Oh, a little of everything.” True. Also unfinished.
Everybody calls you. You can fix the furnace, calm the baby, run the meeting and back the trailer down the boat ramp on the first try. Your strengths were tested in kitchens, shops and hard winters, and they held.
This season
The next job used to choose you: the paycheck, the move, the layoff, the family's need. Now no one is assigning the work. That can feel like being let go. It can also be the first time your gifts choose their own direction.
